Canon Digital Cameras Tripods

What is the difference between these cameras?
I’m looking at getting a new camera as I have an interest in photography and filming. I was looking into getting a Canon. In particular, these two cameras:
1. Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera

2. Canon EOS 60D Digital SLR Camera
http://www.canon.com.au/en-au/For-You/Digital-Cameras/EOS-Digital-SLR-Cameras/60D
For people who know more about cameras than I do, what is the difference in quality, etc, between these cameras. Which one is better?
I would like to buy the camera to take to New York when I visit. I also plan on doing some filming, where the camera will mostly be placed on a tripod and not moved.
Thanks in advance.
The sensor in both of those cameras are exactly the same. The body in the 7D is a magnesium body, while the body of the 60D is plastic (sadly). The 60D has an articulating display screen, while the 7D does not. The 7D offers microfocusing adjustment, while the 60D (surprisingly) does not.
If you have the budget, go for the 7D.
