Canon Powershot A550 vs. Fujifilm Finepix A820?

I recently bought two digital cameras that I intend to use this year for taking pictures for my schools newspaper. I’m currently not an experienced photographer, but I’m trying to pick the superior camera, that will also allow the potential for growth.

Well if you want to learn photography I suggest you get a camera that at least gives you full manual mode, and aperture and shutter priority.

The Canon PowerShot A630 or the A570 IS is your best bet.
