Canon Camcorders Minidv Camcorder
What kind of sub $700 camcorder would you recommend?
I’m an amateur film maker and I’ve finally gotten to where I’m able to go out and get something to replace my Sony DCR-TRV11, but there’s a lot of camcorders out there and I’m having difficulty figuring out exactly which one I want.
My price limit is $700 and I’m leaning towards HD (of course), and preferably in either MiniDV (preferred), flash, or HDD. No DVD. I really like the looks of the Canon HV20 (found it in a couple places for $500 or so), but I also like a lot of manual controls. So, any ideas?
I forgot to mention, no AVCHD. It’s a lie.
HV20, HV30, HV40 are the least expensive camcorders with manual audio control and a mic jack. Stay far away from anemic consumer AVCHD. Good that you already know to stay away from DVD camcorders.
