Canon Camcorders Hf 20
Sony Handycam HDR-SR7 or Canon Vixia Hf-20?
Hi I have found both of these camcorders on Craigslist for about the same price….I don’t know which one to choose though…..any help will be appreciated. thanks!

Review:
This is by far best quality I have seen in an HD cam. The default HD setting is set at SP which is the middle of the road, but the quality is already awesome. When I changed to XP, that was when my mouth dropped when viewing back the test footage on my 60 inch SXRD HDTV.
The coolest feature is to be able to play back AVCHD files natively on the PS3. All you have to do is first is to connect the camera to your PC and get the mts file and put it on a USB thumb drive. Be sure to create a folder on your USB thumb drive called VIDEO and put your mts files there for PS3 to recognize. Next plug it into the PS3 and you will see the most stunning footage ever made by a consumer camcorder.
It has HDMI out but it is a mini-HDMI so I have to buy a wire that is mini-HDMI to regular HDMI.
The cam is so small you can almost hold it in your palm. It has a very expensive look to it (unlike the 40G version HDR-SR5 with silver grills and very ugly looking, IMO)
I am very happy with the SR7. With 60G on board and no silly mess with conventional tapes to worry about. This is a blessing.

Review:
This a sweet vidcam! It is compact, light, ergonomical, (seems like it should be a word 
fully-featured and beautifully made. I am completely satisfied with it’s performance. Sure, it could do better indoors, but I added the optional light, and it works well. I find the menus a breeze, but I highly recommend investing some time to read the manual and get to know all the functions and menu layouts.
I agree with another reviewer that Canon should have included the wall charger, (Canon included a wall charger with my point-n-shoot camera, why not this $$$ vidcam?) but I don’t feel that should affect the rating this camera gets.
And I didn’t get wrapped up with concern over the software in deciding on a vidcam. It wasn’t important to me. (I have a Mac computer running Final Cut Studio 2 and therefore have no issues.)
So I have nothing to complain about, and lots to be happy with!!!
