Tips for filming a high school theatre production?

I was asked to film my high school’s supposedly semi professional theatre production
I have quite good film and production knowledge, but I have never filmed a theatre production before and I was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me.
I have 2 working camcorders and tripods and am planning on using Adobe Premier elements to edit.

One camera, wide shot, locked down on a tripod, with the audio of the vent coming out of the “Phones” port on the mixer right to the Mic jack on the camera. What no Mic jack? Visit http://www.asimplelife.ca/boss.html, you will be needing some similar items. The other camera is a roamer, never on stage, but close to. This camera gets close ups. You should have an assistant with you, can be either camera, although make sure he know how to be the roamer, if not, put headphones on him/her and make them monitor the audio and watch the locked down camera.
