Camcorders Recording Tapes

CAMCORDERS-I had a camcorder a few years back and I still have my tapes that I recorded, they are Hi8, is?
there a specific kind I must buy to have these to work? And what is the difference in analog and digital, how do I know what I used to have and what kind should I get and will it make a difference on the tapes I already have recorded?
If you’re using the same camcorder, you must record using Hi8 tapes. (These cost roughly $9.99 for 2 or $22.99 for 5 tapes, Circuit City)

Many Hi8 camcorders came with a hollow VHS tape that the tapes can fit in to play them in a regular VCR. Alternatively, you might be able to find a USB or firewire cable to connect to a PC and record your videos to the PC and from there, burn to a DVD for easy playback.
