Camcorders Microphone Input
Can This Video Camera Support These Items?
I’m looking at different video camcorders, and found this one which meets my quality needs perfectly, and falls nicely under my $500 budget.
I have three questions about this product:
- Can it support an external microphone?
- Can it support an external lighting unit? Obviously it doesn’t need an input for that, but I wasn’t sure if it had a mounting rail or not.
- Can it support an external battery? Both input and mounting wise.

1. Nope, not mentioned in the specifications.
2. Nope, but you can use a flash bracket (using the tripod port under the cam).
3. Yes, there are two Panasonic rechargeable Lithium Ion battery packs available (VW-VBK360 and VW-VBK180).
