Camcorders Jvc
Do JVC Camcorders only take JVC tapes? Safeguard Mode???
I havebeen using JVC tapes but bought some new Sony ones – not thinking about tape brand. When I load the Sony tapes, it says ‘Eject and Reload Tape – Unit is Safeguard Mode 03′.
Does anyone have any idea about this???

I understand many people have received similar errors but mine is only occuring when the sony DMV60 is inserted – so I am guessing the cam only uses JVC tapes…. thanks!
You should be able to use any MiniDV tape in your camcorder. My first thought was that this was connected to an old problem with Sony using a liquid lubricant on their tapes – however, it seems that a lot of people have had this problem and the Sony tapes are probably a red herring. Have a look at the link for a possible fix.
