What Camcorder Would Your Recommend?
There is the thing: I’ve read many reviews on various camcorders but still am not sure which one would be the best solution. I’m asking the Yahoo! Community for help! Do you guys have some good experience with your camcorder and a reason to recommend it for? I don’t want to shoot any professional clips, but would appreciate durability (needs to go with me on bike), long battery life, High Definition would not be bad but is not necessity, what about storage? Is Hard Drive something I should go for? The price range is not as important as the quality. Thank you for your help and time spent answering my question.
Ok, if you want to take it with you on a bike a hard drive camcorder would not be a good idea. Hard drives are very flaky and taking on a bike and bouncing it that much is not a good idea and would probably cause it to break. I would instead recommend a Mini DV camcorder for durability. Now, what mini DV camcorder? There are a lot of them after all. No matter what I would recommend is a 3ccd Panasonic camera such as the PV-GS320 camcorder. 3ccds means that each color is captured on a separate CCD so that you get superior color and clarity. This is the same technology that professional camcorders use. Plus this camera is reasonably priced at $430. See the link below. Trust me whatever you do for durability don’t buy a Hard drive camcorder. Also in my opinion 3ccd SD is better then a 1 ccd HD. Plus the fact is that any 3ccd HD camera is $3000 and weighs around 10 pounds!
