mini dv, vs HD camcorder?
i just tried out my sonydcr-hc96. i was surprised to see a pixely image when i watched it on my computer. The review at camcorderinfo.com(ibelive), said that mini DV is better cuz the others transmission rate is like 8.5 mbps and mini dv is 25 mbps. the review might be old. my camera has a wopping 2 000 000 effective pixels (movie). so i thought it would be outstanding. not pixely.
whats the deal and at what point do newer camcorders become perfectly clear. im thinking maybe proccessor speed has increased and thats the key. thanks
I agree with Iridflare – we don’t know how you got the video from the camcorder to the computer. The other issue is lighting. If lighting is poor, there is no consumer camcorder that can deal will with low light. That “pixelation” from low light is called “graininess”.
