Questions about JVC camcorders?

I have a JVC GZ-MG57U camcorder and an Olympus WS-311M digital voice recorder. If I used a double slot usb cable (Socket) could I attach my microphone to the camera, and would that replace the internal microphone with the external. I could really appreciate your help.

Is it a mistake on my camera or a very unknown model because I’ve checked all over the internet and the MG57U is nowhere to be found, even on the website
Its everio HD, 15x optical zoom, F 1.2 lens and its a 30G hard disk drive
Get RID of these sucker JVCs….I have had in the past 3…and they THREE stopped working….Get a Canon…or a Sony….Dont ever bother with JVC again///….
