What are some high-quality camcorders available for purchase at Target or Wal-Mart?
My birthday is not one week away and I desire a camcorder.
I am hoping to get a camcorder that is compact, sleek and of excellent video quality.
It must also be able to hold a charge for long periods of time.
For convenience, I’d prefer it to have flash or disk-based memory.
I’m looking to obtain a camcorder that is in the $250-$300-dollar price range.
Does anybody have any recommendations?

I would not recommend going to Wal-Mart for electronics. You will usually get second rate merchandise, and there have been cases in the news of kids finding a box full of rocks instead of a Nintendo DS.
