I need you guys to help me make a decision.

-Money isn’t an issue, but I ONLY want to choose these 2 camcorders.
-I am an amateur film maker
-I want to shoot music videos
-Even in the hands of the shakiest person, the film is still smooth, and clear.
Which of these 2 is the best bang for my buck?

The Samsung is the clear winner. The big things for the aspiring video producer…
Manual focus. Option to shoot in 720p and 480p as well. 720p(and 480) uses less space on your card as it is smaller (1280×720). I wouldn’t believe the 1080p of JVC NOR the 1080i of Samsung. Neither one is likely to be FULL raster 1920 by 1080. It is more likely 1440 by 1080 and interpolated to 1920×1080. Many manufacturers go fast and loose with their interpretation of “1080P.” Plus, the Samsung has the option to add audio input. It looks like the JVC has slightly better nighttime (low light) sensitivity, but if you want to do videos properly you will always light your set. The Samsung has a slightly better lense and OPTICAL image stabilization versus the electronic stabilization in the JVC. You shouldn’t use this feature at all if you are shooting from a tripod like you should be 98% of the time.
