Camcorders Buying Tips

Help with camcorders, firewire ports and usb ports with my PC…?
My camcorder has firewire ports, but my pc doesnt have any, only usb ports. I cannot get a firewire with usb lead.
So what do I need to install or fit onto my pc so that I can use my camcorder on the comp.
Any good tips or what ones to buy that I should install, and how do I do it…many thanks.!
