panasonic pvgs320 3ccd minidv 3 questions?
a) i have heard ths camcorders included software is not compatible with vista will this matter (i will not be using this software) and is it ok with higher level programs like vegas, or premiere, ect?
b) i am seeing this cam at circuit city for 399 but on the internet for as low as 235 should i be weary of wholesale deals like this and just buy it at circuit city?
c) is it easy to capture footage from this cam?

Response: If you are using the non Panasonic applications, then you do not need the disk that comes in the box with the camcorder… So it does not matter if the Panny CD is not Vista-compatible.

Response: I would VERY wary. If it looks too good to be true, then it probably is.
c) is it easy to capture footage from this cam?
Yes – but it, as with ALL miniDV tape based cams will transfer DV from the tape using the camcorder’s DV port (not USB). This connects to your computer’s Firewire400 poert (not USB) with a firewire cable (not USB). Add a firewire 400 card to your computer if needed. PCI cards are cheap (desktop or tower) – so are PCMCIA cards (laptop). Express cards (laptops) are a bit more expensive. A USB to Firewire converter will not work.
