Best Sony Hd Camcorders
What is the best camera or camcorder that can take great pix and great video (preferably HD)?
I’ve looked at camcorders such as the mino flip HD and the new sony webbies and also casio’s cameras with the video capabilities. Its all a mess and I’m really confused! I don’t want crappy quality videos either. Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Just like you, I have been on the lookout for a camcorder that could well take good pictures and high definition video at the same time. Although I have an SLR for my pictures, I still prefer my camcorder to be able to take some photos too when I’m pressed for time in between videos and photos.
I have trimmed my choices down to 3 in terms of price, brands and features.
1. Canon VIXIA HFS100 HD Flash Memory Camcorder with 10x Optical Zoom (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001OI2YZQ/yoga089-20)
It’s HD-capable with recordings up to 1920×1080. It has an auto exposure system and face detection for more vibrant videos. It has a built-in 8MP camera so it’s actually a good 2-in-1 purchase.
2. The Samsung HMX-H104 HD (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001OQC0H0/yoga089-20) is a mid-range compact camcorder that’s also HD ready. This unit is more of a video camera rather a digital one so the drawback would be its camera feature. But it’s also 1920×1080 Full HD quality so one is likely to capture a great video from this unit. It’s lighter and smaller than the other camcorders available in the market so it makes it a choice for frequent travelers.
3. Sony HDR-SR11 60GB Hard Drive 12x Optical Zoom HD Camcorder (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001KAIOXY/yoga089-20) is one of Sony’s best camcorders available. You can’t go wrong with a Sony since it’s already a well-trusted brand. It’s just quite pricey but you get your money’s worth with it.
