Best Sony Camcorders Megapixels
camcorders : hard drive VS. DVD. What to get ?
Im willing to spend around $600-700. (1) Do dvd-cams support playback editing ? (2) Can HD-cams be played on TV? (3) What is “CMOS sensor” on dvd-cams ? (4) How much MegaPixels CMOS sensor is necessary or good ? (5) How much MP is good on still images ? (6) If I’m serious about space and duration of movie — what kind of HD cam fit my budet ? Im thinking I shud get the best so later on I wunt need to upgrade. Im interested in Sony dvd408. But all the reviews say HD cam is better then DVD, can someone explain why ?
HDD camcorders and DVD camcorder both record in the same mpeg2 video format. The major advantage that HDD has over DVD is that each mini DVD disc can only hold 20 minutes in SP mode (30 min EP) – and that the mini DVD disc cost more than the standard size DVDs.
