Which digital cameras with interchangeable lenses are currently ranked the best top three?
I really don’t think it matters
there will be differences between different cameras at different price points, ie there’s no point comparing a dSLR at £300 with antoher prioced at say £1,000
the dSLR market place is a tough world, and all manufacturers are competing like mad to get their camera in front of you. that means there’s a lot of marketing or advertising hype on features that you may not need.
theres also a lot of, frankly, rubbish spouted here and on review sites and magazines, where a great deal is made of minute differences (sometimes such differences are not really relevant to the naked eye)
theres a lot of prejudice and ignorance, often from wannabees or people wanting validation of their purchases, their choices.
the term best is meaningless, no one apart from you knows what use you want a camera for. different designs have different features.
if you have a cupboard full of lenses from an old film SLR then a camera from thae same make may make sense
if you are concerend about size and weight then a 4/3rds camera may be appropriate
if you want to show how ‘cool’ you are becasue your have a camera that looks like a ‘pros’ camera then soemthign with lots and lots of geegaws and add ons may be best.
look at dpreview.com and other review sites. go to a camera shop
decide what you want a camera for
decide what features you need, what features you’d like, what features are irrelevent
have a fiddle with the camera(s) in you rpice range.
then make up your mind abotu what is appropriate for you.
I seriously doubt you will see any significant difference between any of the dSLR camaeras in a similar price point (unless you happen to pick up an end of line deal.. there were recently E510 two lens kits being sold for around £250 in the UK, which was a steal)
