Which is the Best SONY DCR-SR Camcorder???
Hi,
I am thinking to buy a Sony Camcorder and i see there are different models in that DCR-SR types like 40, 42, 45, etc.. which one i should be going for as far as quality, price and the best place to get a deal on these type of camcorders. Appreciate your response on this.

Well, I’d say the DCR-SR45 for overall functionality, mainly because it has a 30gb hard drive (that’s like 7 hours of high resolution filming) plus the substantial 40x zoom. For around 500 dollars, it’s not too bad of a deal.
I say this one versus the other SR’s because many times it’s unlikely that you will be unable to upload what you’ve filmed before you hit the 30gb mark. Which makes the 60gb kind of superfluous.
And yeah, I think Sony camcorders to be consistently high quality, so you’re safe buying Sony mostly any time.
Sadly, I don’t know the overall best place to get the best deal. You could probably get a good price online, though you’ll have to decide if you want a warranty or not.
