Best Camcorders Under $150
video cameras/camcorders?
my family is planning on getting a new video camera within the next week or so.
there are so many different ones that we really don’t know which one is the best. we were thinking of maybe getting the flip one but other then that we don’t know of any other specific ones that we are looking at.
so my questions: is the flip camcorder good quality? or is it better to get a “regular” camcorder?
in your opinion what is the best camcorder under $150-200 (maybe a little higher, but around this price range)?
also this may be a stupid question, but is there a camcorder that takes good quality still pictures too?

At that price you’ve got a choice between something like a Flip or an entry level MiniDV camcorder. Assuming you want to keep the video as a family record I’d go with MiniDV. If you want something to play with (and I’m not knocking it!) go with the Flip.
Sorry, I didn’t notice the 2nd part of the question. Most camcorders can take still pictures – the quality’s usually inferior to cheap digital cameras.
