Best Camcorders For Sports
What is a good video camera to film skateboarding with for under $500? Panasonic GS250?
I have come to the conclusion that mini-dv is the best format to capture action sports like skateboarding and I am looking for one of these camcorders now. On ebay, the Panasonic GS250 sells for approximately $225-$250 and it seems like a good camcorder for the price. It is 3ccd and supposed to be quite good quality for its price range. Do you think this would be a worthwhile purchase for my purposes of filming skateboarding?
Are there any other camcorders you would recommend in this price range? The main flaw of this camera is that it isn’t fantastic in low light, however not terrible. I really like the quality of the 3ccd though. What else should I consider/research?

Are you sure that there’s no lens threads for the GS250? Thanks for letting me know, that is valuable info, but I saw lots of fisheye lenses sold for it on ebay. Its possible that they are deceptive for sales.
To the person above me, this camera does have 37 mm threads.
I have a Panasonic PVGS 150. It’s also 3CCD and mini DV, and it’s great for filming skateboarding. I bought it off ebay for 175 bucks. I also bought a VX1000 that was in need of repair for just $290. Score, huh? I sent it in the Kerry at video electronics, and repair shouldn’t be more than $100. Hopefully, haha. So if you can find a cheap, partially broken vx, definitely buy it.
