Best Camcorders For Kids

looking for a good camcorder…..?
we aren’t professionals, so we aren’t going looking for something really high end. it would be for home videos of our kids and a way to video them and email when my husband is on deployment….
so, we’d like something user-friendly and of good quality and durablility.
we have looked at DVD, hard drive and digital (memory cards) camcorders…..what is the best option of those three right now??? hard drive seems to standout from the others…
any tips or advice would be great!
