Best Camcorders Ever
Camcorders?
Ok so now I am confused. I am an old fashion film maker who still uses 8mm tapes!! Then I went to a store to see what the new technology has to offer and I came home more baffled than ever. So make it easy for me will ya?
Instead of showering me with technical data, just rate from one to 5 (5 being best) what I should get?

Maybe, if you can keep it within a line or two, you might want to throw in a reason as well.

5 – Tape. Specifically, MiniDV. Best quality, best for editing and best bang for the buck.
3 – Hard drive. Very convenient, but colours aren’t as accurate and editing can be a pain.
2 – DVD. Sound good in theory, but problems with capacity of DVDs and compatibility. Editing’s a pain.
1 – Combo cams. I’ve never seen one, but I’m struggling to see the point.
