Austin Camcorders
Are you allowed to record in the Austin City Limits Festival for 2008? I’m going and I wanted to know.
Are they going to search us? Are we allowed to bring digital cameras or camcorders in? Will they kick you out if you’re caught? Please answer, thanks!!!
according to their “can bring” “cannot bring” lists, small personal cameras (digital, 35mm) are allowed, video equipment and professional cameras (SLRs etc w/ detachable lenses) are not.
I can’t say if they will or won’t search you, based on their list of what you can’t bring, I’m sure they’ll look in your bag.
I’ve taken digital cameras w/ video capabilities to shows where no video was allowed, and only once, per the artists strict request, was I asked to stop using the video (they can usually tell based on how you’re holding the camera up and so still for so long). They actually almost stopped my friend from taking a picture b/c we were at the back of the club, and she was using the pillar to steady her camera just to get a good picture.
