3d Camcorders Review
What two pocket camcorders should I use to record Stereoscopic 3D video?
Hi! Recently my good old Sony HC51E Handycam died, and I’m out of the warranty. I’m looking to advance the experience for videos of my YouTube account http://uk.youtube.com/melonmovies by turning to 3D video, especially with YouTubes recent 3D feature. As the current range of 3D consumer camcorders are either too expensive or not that great quality, I’m looking for something within a budget of £250 (for both of them) that will deliver me good quality video (preferably 1080i or 1080p). I was looking at the Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera as the reviews look good, any comments saying whether you think this is a good choice or whether I should look at something else (and please tell me what that something else is
lol) would be great! Thanks, Otto.
btw this was meant to be asked on Yahoo UK and Ireland but I got the wrong site so I don’t know what you mean in dollars!
pocket camcorders have no way to sychronize frames so you can’t just use two Zi8s to get 3D video.
The cheapest cameras that can sync frame rates start at about $8000 each. Look for “genlock” in the camera specs.
