2010 Camcorders
Mac compatibility with the Canon HF R100. Please read details.?
I’m looking to buy a Canon HF R100, I use a Mac, and I’ve heard a lot about how the video format needs to be converted from “mts” to a more common format such as MPEG-4. This doesn’t make sense to me because I’ve read the specifications on the Canon website, and the page says it records in MPEG-4.

Also no one has stated in their reviews and complaints what kind of mac they use (i.e. operating system, Intel/not Intel, etc.). It may or may not make a difference, but a lot of the problems I’ve heard sound like pre-Intel bugs.
I use a 2010 Mac Mini, Snow Leopard (10.6.5) with Intel, and has a built-in SD/SDHC reader. Will this work with my computer with minimal file conversion?
